The Linkedin extension is easy to use, phone/emails given are accurate, integration with HS is pretty seamless & can export directly
If the company isnt on Linkedin then we struggle to find contact details, some EU areas have limited data
Cognism is finding us contact profiles, and their contact data - previous to this we were using a competitor that did not have as much data and it was often inaccurate
Cognism provides better quality contact info in Europe. This tool integrates seamlessly with Salesforce, and the integration setup was straightforward. The dashboard on the home page offers a lot of valuable stats. The CSM team and support team are very responsive and quite helpful.
Data can sometimes be out of date or incorrect, but this is typical with similar tools.
Cognism allows our organization to prospect better in Europe. Our other tools primarily provide details on US information, so this tool is a great complement to the data we need. The ability to create custom filters helps us save time with data cleansing. Additionally, the tool sits within the Salesforce platform, so there is no need to export and import, saving time for our users.
GDPR compliant, good data in our core markets (NA, EU, ANZ)
Integrations could be stronger, some data is stale (it happens with all of them)
We needed more leads and ways to reach our audience. Getting emails and mobile numbers via Cognism was huge at the time for us.
I like the chrome extension, makes it super easy to find leads on LinkedIn and easily add to CRM or Outreach or the Cognism Portal. Coverage across all regions rather than being mainly US focused.
Quality of numbers and emails is sometimes a little poor. I don't like that there is no way to notify cognism of this easily and they still charge you a credit even if the details are wrong/they don't have contact details for an individual. Makes you wonder how they stay on top of data quality if there is no peer review process.
Makes lead gen a lot faster! I'd say this probably shaves a couple of hours a week off of my outbound lead enrichment process
Helpful team (Bansi and colleaguers), quality of data LinkedIn plugin
Email capability Some advice varies Company turnover information poor quality Not enough data to use credits each month
Getting good quality email/people details
Its easy to use. I like that i cand find a lot of poeple.
I disslike that we get to much wrong infomration so the email often bounce. I would also like that you could chose fast-growing companies
The benefits is that you can find people easy and ues it with sales naviagtor and Hubspot.
What I like best is how user-friendly the platform is and how we can have regular conversations with Cognism. We always know of new tools that are available to us, and the platform makes gaining data so much easier.
Nothing comes to mind - overall we're pretty happy with Cognism!
We were previously using a different B2B lead generation platform which wasn't giving us accurate data. With cognism the data is a lot more accurate and there's a clear process in place for whenever the data we receive has errors.
Being able to see how accurate the data is now before using credits it much better.
Large portions of the email addresses were very inaccurate when using medium or lower. Having only pushed high levels through to campaign meant a significantly reduced number of leads.
Increasing the number of email addresses to input into own CRM system
Chrome extension on LinkedIn pulls contact info seamlessly into our CRM
The website prospector system has a few UI quirks, but once you get used to it, works well
Finding contact details for B2B sales prospects. High connection rates as a result
As per my understanding it is best at lead generation & sales acceleration. It is designed in such a way as to make it easy to use
There is a need for it to improve its prospecting capabilities, also it can improve it's customer support.
Cognism's is providing me a steady stream of high-quality B2B leads, and also helping me to identify and target potential customers more effectively.
We use a number of tools to build prospect lists. We've tested many on the market, and know when something is working - both in the quality and breadth of data it's offering us. Many other tools have a US Focus, Cognism has more Euro contacts than some other tools. Their Data Enrichment team could be useful.
Quite a few things. We have really put it through it's paces, during which we've come to realize Cognism is still very far from a finished product. The search function is clunky and not great. It is pretty badly designed, and isn't that intuitive. Cognism is NOT a replacement for other tools or Sales Nav. The data isn't up to date, and often has critical gaps.
Not many.
The integrations with SFDC & LinkedIn are both solid, it's quick to implement and I only have positive feedback for their sales process.
There are clearly internal issues at Cognism. Their support team is good but as distant as they can be (aka expect a million emails rather than just having a conversation - not their fault, just the process). Their CS managers seem to have all just been fired under the pretense that one point of contact (aka the support team) is what their customers have been calling out for. Or maybe they are just on Enterprise accounts now, who knows. Either way, it's irritating and makes communication hard. For us, the data is very poor. we get a 50% success rate in terms of contacts having email addresses (important to note that we are only targetting the largest corporations out there), but then, the competition isn't great either It's just all a bit all over the place - which is understandable when a company is growing quickly and establishing processes. Maybe I'll edit this review in a year and have nothing but positives to say.
We need prospecting data, Cognism has helped but with a 50% success rate, it's not really delivering close to what was promised. That said, the tool does fit seamlessly into our process, so that is a big positive.
Nothing really. Not for us. If I had to say something, the event specific info was pretty good allowing list building for a wide variety of events and their respective attendees.
The sales team told us what we wanted to hear before the sale was agreed. Turned out the reality wasn't as expected!
Didn't really work for us as an organisation if I'm honest.
– The UI/UX is incredibly pleasing and intuitive to use. However, the tool does not work no matter how polished it is.
– The data is truly 1/10, in that they won't have data for most people, and even when they do it is horribly unlikely to be accurate. We ran an internal validation and found Cognism's accuracy to be 1/10 for a *correct* number. Customer support, despite their platitudes, have never provided a meaningful reason as to why data cannot be improved. – Emails were slightly better, but when there's free tools out there it's horribly overpriced. – Use something else instead if this is in your daily workflow.
It is not helping the sales team get the data they need. Data has gotten *worse* rather than better.
The sales process was very smooth and the team promised a brilliant platform. But they didn't deliver. Customer service team tried several times to turn things around, but the platform just isn't good enough.
- Data quality is very poor (loads of key-contacts missing within accounts, fake contacts, only a small percentage of valid emails) - Search function is terrible. You can't really filter down properly the contacts you need. The search will either be too broad or too narrow - and I tried working it out in many different ways with suppression lists, by uploading job title lists, etc. - They don't offer a free trial and I that should have flagged that since the beginning. They tie you in a 6 months contract and you can't get out. I realized after less than 1 month that the platform wasn't as effective as they promised and I tried canceling the contract several times with no success. I would definitely not recommend that platform to anyone...
None
The demo is very slick and the flow seemed like it would save our SDRs time. The team is responsive, but the product is not GA at scale.
The product we bought and implemented vs what we were sold are night and day. This is not an enterprise ready product, maybe for a small business it could be a fit. Problems with SFDC integrations and bad data quality have prevented any value.
None, we were hoping to solve several workflow and SDR efficiency issues, however the data quality and buggy product have prevented any value actualization.
