Google Analytics is easy to get started and figure out. I went from a non-user with no training to someone who can analyze and report on monthly traffic. You can see at a glance what pages need SEO work and which ones might be surprising you with great performance. I like that it is simple to drill down to exactly the type of data you are looking for any period of time in your site's history.

There's nothing negative to say from me, google makes it easy to get the stats you need. If you're used to google and not shy with trying new programs, you'll do just fine. This could be simplified slightly with a better graphic interface or easier terminology for someone who has never used this before. If you go into this knowing what parameters you're looking for, you can find it. If you don't know what to do or where to start, a tutorial could help out.

Google Analytics has made it so that it is is easy to track exactly how well or poorly a campaign is performing. Google Analytics is the most robust web analytics program I've used for online marketing and ecommerce businesses. Because it is the standard, it integrates with virtually every other kind of online/digital marketing software, and does an excellent job converging data points from other software into one platform. From an analysis standpoint, with a bit of training Google Analytics provides deep data points on your website to help you make very educated decisions regarding your online marketing and advertising. Additionally, you can clearly understand the click-through path your prospects take, what disconnects they may have on the road to become customers and repeat customers.

With any enterprise-level software like Google Analytics, there is always a learning curve. While Google Analytics is very intuitive in nature and layout, it does require investing time to become familiar with all of its capabilities and to get the full benefit out of the software.

Within online/digital marketing, Google Analytics helps me understand what channels are performing the best for me from an advertising standpoint. It also provides actionable data on where my prospects are going on my site, where they are coming from, how long they are there, and how far did they get into my sales funnel. From that data, I have actionable information I can use to better target my customers and position my offerings in the right light that captures their attention and hopefully results in more sales.

As they say "You Can't Manage What You Don't Measure", and Google Analytics allow me to measure in details all relevant information about my digital presence. There are a lot of fetures in the application, you can monitor many metrics, generate reports, compare parameters, amont many other features, it is really an excellent tool fo anyone serious about digital marketing.

Sometimes it is a litle complex, with a lot of information and options, but at the same time it is an advantage.

There is not much that I dislike. Google is our main source of traffic so it only makes since for us to use their analytic tool for our SEO measuring. The things that I have issue with have more to do with my ability to understand how it's relevant to my needs.

The free version is extremely powerful. You can track almost anything in relation to your customers, including tracking conversions and revenue.

The interface is generally easy to use but it is not easy to setup correctly. It takes time buy someone who knows what they are doing to get things to a point where you can gleam actionable data from.

For an online business the tool is indispensable in figuring out what works and doesn't work to convert users into paying customers. No sense in driving a bunch of traffic to your site if you don't know if you are also converting them to paying customers and why.

My favourite part of Google Analytics (GA) is that it is free and passively collects rich data on your traffic to your website. The longer you have a properly setup account tracking your data the more valuable it becomes. The integration with Search Console is awesome. Also there are alerts which warn you about sudden major changes in the data that GA is receiving that can be extremely helpful in fixing otherwise catastrophic problems as soon as they surface.

GA has a significant learning curve and if your account isn't configured properly (or you make a mistake with filters) you can wreck your data. Permanent changes that may or may not be backwards compatible really make you hesitate before altering your existing Views.

Measuring the impact of your digital marketing is critical and GA can help do this in a concise and consistent way if you know what to look for. I've used GA to find hidden issues affecting the visitors to my website, increase engagement on posts and help track attribution to which channels are providing the most value.

I like that I can report to my clients where their traffic comes from, what queries drive their traffic (for the most part), what technology searchers use to search, etc. This gives me the tools I need to direct their social media and SEO efforts.

I do not like that Google will not reveal what searchers search for if they're signed in. Building content around what queries searchers use help me figure out if I'm wording our content the right way. Without being able to factor in how Google users search is a huge chunk of a puzzle that's missing.

I am using Google Analytics information to build better SEO content, title tags, photo alt data, etc for my clients. Being able to get them ranked higher in the organic listings is a huge benefit to their businesses.

Have some limitations about data collection for privacy. Better ways to funnel analysis. Need a better a/b test and support for real time personalitions.

Nothing really but if I have to choose one then I would say the page layout and index could be a bit more user friendly. It takes a bit when you first start using it to get comfortable as to where all of the data is located and how to quickly access it.

Understanding and learning about our customer is the problem that Google Analytics solves for us and the benefits are endless. We are learning something new everyday about our customers and this platform is responsible for that.

Google has their analytics figured out. They're easy to understand, easy to explain to clients and easy to implement.

I wish there was a notification if analytics didn't seem to be working correctly so we could address the issue before it gets too far.

We use Google Analytics for all of our clients websites. It's great for them to have access to their analytics directly so that they can see for themselves what's going on.

The breakdown of each category helps find those specific analytics you are searching for. I also love that we can share it as a team, so everyone can see what we are comparing or measuring. The feature to compare specific dates is another favorite. It allows me to validate any success from month to month with a solid shot of the previous month.

Some of the areas could go into more detail and be a little more user friendly. Once you figure out how to interpret everything its great, but to start it can be challenging.

We are able to establish more accurate SMART goals each month as well has see where we may be losing potential customers by comparing different months and quarters. It has also allowed us to see where our time is best spent on social platforms and create keyword content.
