the retina image quality and support, quick linking/creating hotspots to make an interactive prototype, easy sharing, and commenting features all helps with presenting to stakeholders and developers

The only part I didn't like was the limited amount of transition options for pages and handling the overlays

Invision is key for communication with different teams.

I love that InvisionApp is so easy to use and creates a really seamless experience for a new website design. We use this product as we are re-branding and re-creating our entire website and it helps showcase the direction we are going in so that people can see and understand. This is one of the best (if not #1) prototyping tools out there. I love that though specifically for design, this tool allows multi-departmental understanding of a certain project and gives project managers, designers, coders, etc. the ability to conceptualize and experience the project as it takes shape.

I really don't have one! Since there are so many capabilities within this platform, it can be a bit overwhelming. The help center is great and I've been successful using that outlet but I wish there were more (or maybe easier to find....) help videos for "big topics".

Redesigning an almost 15-year old website with old graphics, coding, UX, etc. has been exceedingly challenging, especially when trying to communicate design interwoven with usage. With Invision, we get to show real-time prototypes of our new website direction and also allow for collaboration. This tool has benefited our company by allowing the designers an outlet to describe what they are doing and have impactful collaboration.

I am in love with the live commenting features, and the ability for different members to manage their own specific assigned task, when it comes to working together, however, I don't like that you can't use it offline. I wish their was like a desktop version that syncs manually once an active connection is present, though I can also see how that can pose a problem.

Requires an active internet connection to manage assets and previews (unless i'm doing this wrong)

I like how simple the user interface is. I also like that you can upload a Photoshop file to your prototypes and update the screens automatically when you save in Photoshop. It is super simple to share a working screen with viewers with a link or the app. It is very easy to drag and drop screens as well as re order them.

I dislike that sometimes you are required to make a new link when you want to share the most recent prototype edits. I also wish that there was a way to edit the text on a prototype within the Invision platform. I also wish there was a way to export the screen flow into a video or PDF in case the internet isn't working or the files are deleted somehow.

When building a new website and communicating with the developers at one of my clients workplaces, it was very helpful to have Invision to explain how I wanted the new website to flow. From the screen movements to the click actions. It would have been harder and taken longer for me to animate screens or write the actions in words for them.

We are able to send our mockups for site design without having to send a bunch of images, but rather letting the layout look and feel like a webpage

InVision is constantly pushing the limit on the features that it releases. They started off with having the best prototyping tool and have followed that by boosting the capabilities and creating add-ons like Craft. They have a great option for creating boards (I tend to use these as a way to show my CEO mood boards as well as to create a living updated style guide). The comments section is phenomenal because it allows my developers, copy writers and product managers to leave me notes about items that need to change in the designs. I haven't used Freehand but it's supposed to be an interactive way to take notes right on the artboard with the use of a stylus and tablet or iPad.

There are some limitations in terms of interaction but a lot of the time there are work-arounds. The best way to become familiar with these work-arounds is watching youtube videos and reading their blog.

I am able to send out mockups and interactions to key stakeholders at my company. InVision has also allowed me to give my offsite development team HTML and CSS styling as well as the ability to hand off elements like imagery and icons.

I love that InVision has it's own tie-in to Sketch through Craft–this has done wonders to my workflow. Plus I love features like fixed headers and footers, which lets me provide my clients a visual rather than just an explanation for my proposed designs.

I think the animations and effects you can currently apply could be tweaked or advanced a bit more. For example, there's no good way to get out of an overlay–I can't place a button within that would then remove the overlay.

I'm able to provide clients better examples of my work, plus it's been helpful when handing off with developers. It's also great to see mobile designs fitted to an appropriate screen size as well.

Not the creation capabilities of Adobe XD. Have to do a lot of importing. Which can be time consuming.

Love that I can connect Invision app with Photoshop or just drag and drop updates as needed. Being able to bring still images to life with transitions and paths through the app really help give clients and customers a feel for what their app could be and how it will flow. We catch a lot of little UX things during the prototyping process.

Which there was even more flexibility with transitions and paths between images, links and buttons. If it had logic that would bring even more power.

Customers like pretty things. Pretty things that move and show you what your app could be are huge. This also helps take a lot of questions that we would receive from the dev team as well. It helps paint a more clear picture of how the app should flow.

There are so many wireframing, prototyping and layout tools available. Invision is the most beautifully and most intuitively designed applications.

Larger prototypes might become harder to use because they become more complicated.

I am a non technical employee, so in order to visualize and demonstrate what I'm looking for, I use InVision to prototype my ideas and product suggestions quickly.

You can easily create a rapid prototype or full-fledged design for client approval and feedback, or to hand off to a developer to build.

One feature I am disappointed that is missing, is the ability to download the project. Some clients (old-school) want to be able to view or share it offline.

We have been able to streamline review processes. This is much more professional and efficient than sending and marking up PDFs.

From Apps to websites it makes comping the interface and basic workflow as well as getting feedback from stakeholders a breeze. Templates for Desktop, Tablet and Mobile help your reviewers/users visualize the end product in context.

uploading and wiring up your layouts was time consuming, until InVision released it's Craft plugin for sketch, now all that can be easily managed right in Sketch and synced to InVision making it easy and quick! Sync is also available for Photoshop for those hooked on Adobe.

Properly demonstrating proposed user interface and user workflows without building the real tool only to find out the client isn't happy or it's hard to use.

The handover as a designer to the web development team is almost flawless

Not being able to export as a psd, but there are work arounds for it

It's easy for designers to upload mockups and revisions of mockups. Also don't have to worry about keeping track of all the design files.

With larger projects I have noticed that invision lags a bit but it's not a huge problem.

Organization and efficiency between designers and developers.

The ease of use (once used to work flow), the ability to share with many parties.

There is a bit of a learning curve as new user, but within a week or so I was able to use Invision more quickly.

I am able to articulate designs to clients in real time, and help them to imagine the process by actually doing it, rather than me simply speaking about.

I love the integration that InVision has with Sketch! I also like the ability to share with clients and gather their feedback via comments.

The switching between build mode and comment mode can be a little frustrating sometimes but once you learn how to use it properly it's easy!

inVision has helped our team reduce the need for email chains and multiple bits of feedback from multiple channels. Everything is in one place and updates can be added easily.

The quick ability to mockup websites to show to clients.

I wish I could have the abilities of mobile on the desktop version.

The only issue we have is that there is no interactive feature for things like sliders. Clients have issues imagining our ideas.

It cuts down on our time building the site because they can see the pdf form of it.

By using invision, the feedback process is simpler, comments go directly to the designs; by adding gestures and transitions it transforms the static screens into interactive prototypes having a better idea of the final product.

InVision's integration with Sketch is a huge time saver.

I am not a fan of having to sign in every time I come back to InVision.

We are using InVision to help us communicate design solutions with single images as well as prototype format with project owners, engineers, and leadership. The benefits are great time savings.

The way you share the screen shots with team pre development is excellent and really nice and easy. i linked a the screen shots and it worked as app or functional app and its the only you can demonstrate for developers

Everytime a i get email "Clark From invision" .. i think now its kinda annoying.

The way you collaborate , it fixes anything before any development or beginning of software deisgn.

The ability to add a rough sketch to my comment.

Having to change my view from comments on then off in order to advance pages in a multi-page design.

Our design team is in another office and we can still collaborate easily on a design in progress.
