Well thought out , intuitive , visual , great support .
I wish you could have multiple companies that you could toggle between
Accountability , defining good job roles, finding triggers from one process to another
Promapp is a one stop for all the business needs and to find relevant information. It is also user friendly
Like all new system it is confusing to navigate around but this will become easier to use with regular access to Promapp
The five whys are an easier way to locate and to complete
easy to use- straightforward- clear , I look forward to use it more
nothing to report at this stage as I have just started using it
- process maps - storage - docs control
Easy to use. Has great integration. Easy to view the workflow layout
Easier way to see all the parameters used in the workflow
I have used Nintex to query all our databases for information, it has interacted with AD. It has solved many business problems
Simply when we use the Nintex Workflow we no need to write any code so it reduce the stress of the developer and also it reduce the time. Can easily achieve large application through nintex workflow. Nintex newly released some new tools app studio for mobile apps, hawkeye for reports, NWC for connection third party applications .
In Nintex Workflow we need some more additional connectors like (drop box, salesforce etc..). that would help us to reduce the more time. When it comes NWC, user looking some extra fields like people picker and fetch the user manager details option in NWC public forms. Multiple page creation option in NWC public forms. Slowness: when we open Nintex Workflow or Forms, it taking much time to load the page. Hwakeye : would help user to add some more information in usage lens and inventory lens like execution time of the workflow with out using beacon action. App Studio: Need some documents for using app studio.
We can easily solve the large projects which we use in regular business life. ex : travel expense and new employee on boarding. Better workflow management we can easily connect other third party services like Box, Docusign Actions for call custom web services. Responsive forms in Nintex form.
I was using SharePoint Designer to create forms and workflows. It was taking forever and I really wasn't getting what I wanted out of it. I sure wish I had Nintex sooner. I was able to recreate the forms and the workflows to work better.
There seems to be a lot more advanced processes then simple processes.
Creating many more workflows to make process are automated and not done manually. It has already saved hours of time.
+ easy way to define workflows in grafical interface + lot of out of the box functionality + in combination with forms very powerfull way to collect and share information
some interesting functions to gather data from other systems (AD especially) are only available at higher packages
creation of project templates entry and exit documentation and forms for users
Ability to create a range of forms from simple to complex
Form designer can be difficult to align controls with whitespace using rules
Greater control for user input
Speed of setting up an application. In less than 1 day, we are able to start and dematerialize a process. In our company, we have implemented more than 50 processes. Nintex can connect to several external Platform and call Webservice (so any kind of Platform !).
More information about error / logging. With last versions, we can use the console to monitor all processes. It would be interesting to display more info for developer/
We have dematerialize all kind of internal processes, like annual employee review, purchase order, HR meeting, room reservation, and so on ! We also have implemented the generation of Word document, based on a SharePoint list. The main feature that is used during all the day (and night), is the "lazy approval" feature, allowing to manager / user to approve / reject a process.
Easy to use and design WF process. We use it 99% of the time in PROD.
Server tasked WF errors. It will be help if it is easy convert Nintex form.
Daily business process, eliminates human error of processing...
Ease of use with SharePoint, Easy to deploy.
The price is a bit high. The licenses is a bit weird with a file with your server name embedded.
CE worksheets, AD integration, Security forms
The drag and drop visualization of process flow
Not really flexible on printing the workflow out
Providing an environment for innovation idea gathering and follow up process
The many features of the product that I have yet to even explore. So many different ways to connect and use this product.
The only thing I don't really like is the look of the dashboard. It just seems a little bland.
The way you can automate any issues such a IT reporting and issue assigning.
The intuitive way you can paint worklfows with icons, create new workflow steps, and be able to export the workflow to other systems
Some of the interface menus to set the properties are a little tricky at first, testing and performance tools might be useful. Nintex Forms could be better, for example to link 2 lists as a master detail.
Our developers have used Nintex to decouple our webservice calls so they need not create a WSP server side code to call the webservice, rather the Nintex workflow does it for us, allow change without code. We have also given it to our PMIS people to create their own approval workflows for projects
I like the user interface - its so easy to use and understand this product and each action has a help button to help understand what it does . ..that is awesome
I do not like that many of the actions has dependency on the SharePoint timer job- like the pause actions - that causes dependency and gives a bad overview for a nice product.
Digital Approvals are easy to handle - easy to communicate using notifications and different types of task assignment
Robust Workflows, Lazy approval workflows
Not really a lot, wish the UI is faster but no complains
Faster and better workflows when compared with stock workflows
Being able to make SQL query directly from Nintex workflow. This is great addition to out of the box SP workflow features. Also the ability to export and import workflows. This enables us to deploy workflows more quickly across different environments for example from Dev to Production. We can even save the exported file into our svn as a release copy so that we can refer to in a later stage when we need to
Category if action. sometime I need to go through lots of them to find the right action I need. You can make it easier to find a certain action by categorise them in logical order.
We mapped lots of our business processes with nintex workflow and automated lots manual tasks. Reduced some opex
- Toolbox actions that allow you to quickly implement Approval processes with automated reminders, escalation, delegation. - Extensibility: Calling SharePoint REST services, our own custom web-services from the workflows we design.
- The fact that Nintex Workflows are dependent on a specific SharePoint version and are not cross-platform. - Licensing costs on multi-server farms have been a show-stopper for a few clients I have worked with. - Exporting/Importing the workflows based on xml files vs a more robust/simpler deployment process has always felt lacking for an enterprise-grade tool.
- Replacing paper forms and recognition approval for Employee Recognition program with complex rules. Significantly staff support from users enquiring about status of their submissions.
It completes the last step for process automation by automating the documentation component
Nothing really. So far, it meets all my requirements
We implemented the process via forms and workflows and now we use the data captured through this process to create a document
You can easily create workflows with minimal instruction.
Upgrading to a new version sometimes change the order of the approval buttons on the approval form.
Developing business approval workflows helped reduce the number of emails sent out and made it easier to track.
Definitely the ease of use of the interface.
No issues at all. I haven't had any issues
Process flows for different business areas in SharePoint 2013
OOTB tool that provides quick turnaround and stand up for most solutions needed for business critical forms and workflows, with the flexibility for hardcore programmers to customized and make "sexy" and slick animations and tailor error messages using JQERY, CSS, and JavaScript et al...
Debugging problems is a little challenging. Troubleshooting is difficult sometimes, but the nature of the tool leveraging browser technology is understandable.
digitizing real paper processes... workflows streamlining and cutting down time between approvals et al... integrating 3rd party digital signature tools to electronically sign documents.
I like the ability to easily create complex workflows. There are a lot of functions within Nintex Workflow that I would like to test to see how they work and from the Nintex Community I have been able to produce functional workflows with the least amount of steps. I also enjoy the new features that are regularly introduced. The best recent feature is the development mode and the connect feature.
The manuals are not very intuitive and I find I have to use google a lot to find out how to do different procedures. Some functionality I would have liked to use is not present and I have had to add steps to counteract this. The Document creation feature is limited to 250 before we have to purchase more. This is a feature that will be greatly used by our company for legal purposes and I would like to see this increased.
Policies and Procedure follow up and approval process, Customer Support services, Incident Reporting are a few of the problems we are using Workflows form. The benefits for customer support and incident reporting allow an email to be sent with the particulars of the form so quick responses can be seen. With Policies and Procedures we can send reminder emails and use an approval process. Processes are being automated which alleviates the manual intervention we have used in the past.
Developer do not require programming skills to develop workflows
Re-start workflows will start from initial process rather than the previous process where it ended
Replacing manual forms use in organization. Less printing and more traceability. Users able to track the workflow processes easily.
Simple and Easy to use UI Easier workflow management Wide variety of Actions like Web Service Tight Integration with SharePoint and other systems
Data manipulation needs multiple steps/actions Some intermittent issues
We are automating manual processes. Developing applications more rapidly amount.
The platform makes it easy to document, build and execute process
Hard to debug at times. More development tools would be good
Simplification and documentation of processes in sharepoint
No code solutions that my team can create, ease of managing all workflows across the platform.
We run into issues around documents, however I believe document generation will help.
Policy approvals, accrual adjustments, basically authorizations and approvals that were manual and paper driven have become digital. We also have incorporated DocuSign.
Very powerful tool to build form and workflows
Nothing as such. Everything is good. Forms are a bit complex sometimes.
Created WF and different business forms.
Ease of use, UI, drag and drop, support from community, easy to do proof of concept, easy to teach and use, can be as complex as you wish, ability to import/export workflows, statistics and analysis of each workflow.
Form load times, price, mobile application doesn't have all features
Moving away from paper based forms and having the forms available on mobiles and externally.
Its simple and easy to use, the drag and drop functionality
Accessing the configuration of actions. form design of tasks increase the size of the workflow
It allows us to streamline process and automate paper process & approvals
