With Zoom I was able to interview and conference with a number of people across the country all from living room. Using Zoom added a level of professionalism and reliability that I hadn’t had with something like FaceTime in the last. The picture and sound were clear with very little lag.
I have used similar software before so the set up for me was easy. However, I could see someone who has very little technological experience possible having a little difficulty getting started. Tweaking the ease of use in the set up might be helpful.
I needed to meet and interview with a number of people who were in the opposite coast from me. Financially and logistically we weren’t able to meet in person, so the Fund for the Public Interest used Zoom to solve that problem. Their managers interviewed dozens of people across the country and we all conferenced in together for group orientation.

When we think of virtual conferencing, the first platform that comes to our minds is ZOOM. Its because it is one of the oldest and most popular video conferencing platforms. What we like most about this is its Simple, Clean and Organised Dashboard and endless possibility of integration options for you to plug and play with your product. When you look to scale your business which requires video conferencing functionality you can confidently rely on Zoom. For eg, if you are using Zoom for Webinars, it can allow up to 10,000 virtual attendees to sign up which is a very large audience. Also, we like the features like Streaming meetings & Webinars on Facebook and Google Calendar Support.
Now let's talk about the downsides which we feel with Zoom. Firstly, I think the subscription plans in Zoom are not well segmented as t of the services require an additional subscription (or add-on) that has multiple tiers based on the number of attendees you plan for. While many of the starter plans are fairly priced, the larger plans are questionable in my thought. One more demerit I feel is the lack of comment control I feel while moderating events and webinars on Zoom. Also, with the rapid growth of 4K video (now most of us have mobile devices with cameras supporting 4K), HD video quality (1080P) has become the standard on most platforms. Unfortunately, Zoom doesn't support this. It normally supports 720P for the current speaker. In addition to that, the compulsion of downloading the Zoom app to attend the meetings/webinars feels annoying.

Zoom events has been very helpful for virtual meetings! I used it extensively with online seminars and trainings.
I liked most aspects of Zoom. I think a virtual whiteboard might be a good addition.
As a mental health counselor, I am required to attend seminars and trainings annually. Zoom allowed me to meet the requirement while staying safe from covid.

Not much I dislike, bandwidth appears to work well, and I really don't have any issues with functionality.

When hosting webinars, it is easy for the host to control the environment - making sure that attendees are muted during the presentation but allowed to ask questions during the relevant segments. You can easily share your screen and "pass the mic" to your team.
Although we have not yet experienced this, there have been many stories about the vulnerable security where certain zoom sessions have been made available to random users (vs. the guests) which is a little worrisome. Other than that, other issues have mainly been user issues.
Being able to connect with large audiences in the new virtual environment. Being able to conduct business as usual from the home office :)
Zoom is easy to use and full of features. Positives: Screen sharing. Participant management. Calendar integration. Contact directory and chat features. Instant video meetings with colleagues.
I believe Zoom heavily degrades the performance of some of our laptops when screen sharing. There is a drastic slowdown when some people are sharing their screen. Customer support. There was no way they could keep up with the COVID user spike that they saw. As such, I put in some tickets that went unanswered for 6 months.
It's a great tool for remote collaboration. We use the instant video meeting feature all the time with colleagues. We have team chats and companywide chats that keep everyone in touch and in the loop.

Work meetings, quality improvement
This video conference platform is easy to set up and also to join. You need an email and can share the access code to invite others users. You may use your cellphone instead of the speakers on your laptop. Also, what I like about this platform is that you can record your videos and save them to your desktop.
What I do not is the video quality when downloading the conference calls. It seems too pixelated but this might just be a technical issue with my cellphone or laptop. I might have to mess with the settings for better quality.
Something that I prefer about this is that it is a desktop app that saves you trouble from having to log into a website because it’s conveniently located on your home dock.
The screen sharing feature. I use zoom to work remotely with students and it is beneficial for them to share their screen with me. Part of the advisement process requires paperwork so this feature is important to the work that I do.
I sometimes have issues with the meeting scheduling feature. My invitees sometimes don't get the email with the invite request. I usually will manually resend the link in this case. This issue will not deter me from using the program in the future.
Zoom is a great tool to use with students remotely. A lot of my students cannot come and meet me in person for a multitude of reasons an one of the benefits of zoom is that they can set up appointments to meet with me wherever they are.
It is really helpful to collect the data of attendance and save the video and chat text automatically. Good for the markets to do the follow-up staff.
The function of the panelist is not improved.
We can hold a session online and the audiences took the session at different states of united states. It expands our services area and solves the different time zone problem.
Zoom is very easy to use for setting up webinars. I like how it is connected with my google email and also our companies scheduling client acuity. Signing in is usually pretty easy and it has multiple screen sharing features which is also nice.
Depending on who calls in or where they are in the country the connection can be spotty. I currently have to call in by phone every time I have a webinar because the volume when speaking to a customer goes in and out.
the business problems zoom solves for us is that we never have to be in person to have a meeting. Making it very cost effective and saving us time and resources to make a sale.
